Great question! We chose the Tyvek brand because of its versatility. Since it comes in rollable 5 gallon buckets (in addition to caulking tubes/sausages) we could more easily transition it to areas that require larger coverage requirements (than just a joint or seam).
Also the local Tyvek rep, Corey Ball, was really helpful in providing us onsite feedback and assurance for some of our atypical applications, like our wall sheathing to concrete foundation connection.
